AS I HAVE BEEN VISITING THE GROCERY STORE DAILY, SOMETHING PECULIAR PEAKED MY ATTENTION. WHILE ALL THE CANNED GOODS, MEATS, CEREAL AND NUMEROUS STARCH RIDDEN COMMODITIES WERE COMPLETELY ANNIHILATED; THE FRESH PRODUCE AND VEGAN SUBSTITUTES WERE BOUNTIFUL. THE SAME WAS SAID FOR HERBAL TEAS AND VITAMINS. SO WHILE THERE IS A PANDEMIC AFFECTING THE IMMUNOCOMPROMISED ABSOLUTELY NO ONE FELT NUTRITION WAS A NECESSITY TO COMBAT THE SPREAD OF THIS INFECTION, STRANGE ASF. WITH THAT BEING SAID I cannot think of a better time to focus on your health than now. detoxing can be just the reset you needed. so if you’re bored at home abusing the living hell outta tik tok why not spend some time in the kitchen instead! :)
morning jumpstart: breakfast smoothie bowls
Ingredients
small bag of frozen mixed berries
1 lemon or lemon juice
almond milk
honey or agave
fresh blueberries, strawberries and 1 banana
vanilla greek yogurt or dairy free option (coconut)
Optional toppers
Granola
Chia Seeds
Peanut butter
Coconut shavings
Protein powder
i really hate heavy breakfast meals. in fact i can’t really stand to eat breakfast at all especially when i’m up super early. so this offers a light but filling option in like 5 minutes…
POUR ABOUT 2 CUPS OF MIXED FROZEN FRUIT IN BLENDER
ADD AT LEAST 1 CUP OF MILK (TOO MUCH WILL MAKE YOUR SMOOTHIE WATERY- TOO LITTLE WON’T BLEND WELL)
ADD 2 GENEROUS SCOOPS OF YOGURT
SQUEEZE ONE LEMON
ADD ABOUT 1 TBS OF HONEY
BLEND UNTIL THICK IN CONSISTENCY BUT SMOOTH
ADD PREFERRED TOPPINGS THEN DRIZZLE WITH HONEY
