Fall 4 Baked Apples

Autumn

is easily the start of my favorite time of year. Between the warm colors and the cool breezes nothing can put me in a better mood… besides food that is. I ran across this recipe on @cookingclassy’s Instagram and could not wait to try it. When I discovered I already had the ingredients in sitting in my kitchen; well there was just no reason to wait.

8 ingredients

LIST: pecan halves, apple juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, honey crisp apples, butter stick. I mean you’re practically Betty Crocker already ;-)

NOW JUST 3 EASY STEPS

  1. Mix all pecans, baking spices and sugar in a bowl.

  2. Core & stem your apples making sure not to pierce a hole through the bottom then fill em up with your mix.

  3. Top each apple with a 1/2 tsbp of butter & a little vanilla extract. Pour some apple juice on the bottom and pop it in to bake at 375 degrees for about 40 min…… and voila! I’m sure you’ll FALL for these baked apples the way I did.

p.s…

vanilla bean ice cream pairs great with this dish.
